Conch shell



The shell symbolizes power and control. When the people hold the shell they have the power it speak and state their opinions while the rest of the kids have to listen and wait to hold the shell to speak. If they want to use it they have to wait until the others receive it to talk. Why it's important is because its dividing the power to speak and be the leader for a few moments to everyone who holds it. The person who first has to use it during an assembly is ralph because he is the leader of the group so he has more power than the other

    You missed the s and a period at the end of others but other than that this was a great description. The picture you chose was a great idea because people are very familiar with the show Sponge Bob so it helps understand what the conch is used for. This particular photo was a great idea because its very entertaining to look at.

    I like the way you explained it. It does show power and control and keep people civilized. I like that you said people have to wait there turn to talk cause it shows how much power the conch shell has. The picture does help the blog it show how it is used like a phone almost. Good Job.

chapter 6

dear diary,  today I heard one of the craziest but creepiest things. One of the kids came to Ralph and said he thought he seen the beast! it was dark at night and they seen something in the trees. I thought they were lying until Ralph himself said it. I think there really is a beast. The reason why is because why would ralph himself lie to us. If there really is a beast here we are all doom! I hope Jack and Ralph take care of this conflicts so the litlutn wont start yapping. I think we might have another boring assembly tomorrow ugh!
